Get dirty!

This first picture is from our first night in the hotel in Kamloops.  Note the excitement in Donovan's eyes.  We had just had french fries!
Our boys are thoroughly enjoying Easter Break.  Donovan is out of school for 10 days and they've never been happier.  OK, maybe Christmas morning, but really -- they are full of discovery, invention, and playful indulgence.
Take Weston for example: last night we found him under the bath water for a considerable amount of time because why? -- He'd rigged up his own snorkel with a straw!
Then of course there is the luscious sensation of a Caramilk Easter egg demonstrated by Weston Lyle.  Followed by the mold of a tractor wheel made of mud by doe-eyed Donovan James.  Ever since the county tore up or lawn and fixed a leaking septic pipe last fall, our front lawn has had a large patch of dirt: "play area" for the boys.  But of course dirt is not enough, one must add water from the bathroom sink to make it really workable.
Well, overall I'm glad.  Yes, there is dirt ground into the carpets we just vacuumed, but they are happy and active and able to be outside.  It's so important.  The grass is coming on green now and the energy is rising in my boys to explore.  This is good.
Life if good.
I should be grateful.
I've still been struggling with self doubt and fatigue...
Maybe I should just go get dirty!
