Looking back and turning green.

I discovered these pictures again.  I only have room to include five at a time on my blog, so I reached back to when mom and dad were here.  -Look at the boys glee at receiving their birthday presents together! Then Grandpa helped both Donovan and Weston build projects with their new tools: Donovan a little chest and Weston a birdhouse!
Then a few more from Reptile world.  Although I really believe toads are amphibians... anyway they are strange, marvelous creatures... as is the hooded one sucking his tongue.  I can't get over the slimy lazy one.  He's like a perfect Toad from Wind in the Willows!
And did you notice the crocodile in the background behind the two headed Snider?  Yes.  Creatures great and small... I love them all.
Today we have rain and you can just feel the ground drinking it up and turning green.  I love the rain.  It's so rare now for me in Alberta, but it feels like home.  All those thoughtful times gazing out the big windows in the living room growing up - watching the droplets on the canal.  It quiets the soul.
I've got most of my evaluations done now.  Yippee.  Just another 2-3 hours worth to go, I hope.  But that will have to wait for tonight when Dave is here and the boys are tucked safely in bed.  For now I have a little frog tugging at my sleeve insisting I come read to him on the couch.  That is important.  Amen.
