The boys and I embarked on another rehearsal weekend last Saturday and Sunday and we're learning more about where to give focus during our crowd scenes. The boys pretty much have it down, but they don't quite get the "do it again and again" part. They get bored pretty quick now and often just want to play in the dirt. I hope they can stick it out and learn even more. They do pretty well. Steve Waldschmidt plays Jesus again this year and he is really connected to what he's saying: very specific and strong.

This year Lennette is helping to narrate the story along with Tim. She also plays Mary Magdalene so she's a great one to tell about the crucifixion and resurrection. She's a great energy to add to the show.

Tim is back as Matthew and full hearted and engaging as ever. They all work a lot harder than us throughout the week.

Of course my favorite players are the apricot brothers: "Tamar" and Donovan. Randall caught pics of them hiding out under the temple market tables in 100 degree weather. They really steal the show with their innocence and curiosity. It's been great to interact with the boys more about the story of Jesus, at least what we know from the Bible. They are more invested in it right now.

If anyone would like to come see it, we perform July 10-12, and then again July 17-19. You could also check out their website at: http://www.canadianpassionplay.com.
School is almost out for Donovan and summer is in full leaf.
