Coming out of the COLD

This photo of our temperature gauge in the van was taken Monday when we turned around after four minutes of driving/sliding and decided getting my little mole removed from my eyelid was not worth the white knuckle drive to Calgary with Weston.
The second picture reads: -38 F , which is the same as -39 C because they are the same at -40 which is when boiled water thrown into the air disintegrates.
So we were in an arctic cold snap, and now we're pretty much out of it.
Last night we saw Donovan and Weston in their school Christmas Concert. They were both adorable. This last picture is of Donovan in his Santa hat before he heads out the door at 7:34am for his last day of school in 2009. So adorable. He loves his faded red coat so much.
Donovan generated most of the ideas and images for his class Christmas poster that I saw last night. Truly remarkable detail and perspective; I was so proud! Donovan announced today when he got home that his class won the contest and they get a pizza party next term. Way to go, Donovan!
So, we leave in two sleeps.
Two sleeps.
8 evaluations
two toilets scrubbed
3 beds changed
and one big boost of courage and concentration before we enter the great Northwest!
