I'm so grateful to mom and her hugs.  The pies were perfect too.  It's fun to capture a picture of my dad smiling.  He stocked that pond before we came down.  Here he's got the remote to a tiny boat to chase the ducks.
The Oregon game on Saturday was so exciting!  So many fans 57 thousand plus, and so many yelling voices.  What a sound: tons of humans yelling "OH" at once.  It was
thrilling to see athletics in that human surrounded arena.
The most poignant moment was when the Boise State man got hurt.  He wasn't moving and a hush fell over the stadium as all the players (on both teams) knelt and took off their helmets.  My eyes filled with tears.  This was bigger than the game.  I loved the truth and respect, and better yet, we all clapped with relief
as he walked off the field.  Tears smarted my cheeks.  Then, ... on with the game.  The Freshman red-shirt quarterback came in with such an arm, and great composure too.  One quarter to play and he got busy.  The receivers were hungry to catch after three quarters of a predictable running game.  They had to leap up for the ball from the eager young tosser, but caught it they did, and it made for some of the best theatre I've seen in a long time.  (And I've seen a lot of theatre.)
