I was having delicious sleep between 5:30am and 6:40 and I didn't want to get up, no sir. Thankfully I only had to make one lunch (Donovan) but still... I don't know why I'm waking at 5am anyway, and if I do get back to sleep it's dreamy problem solving sleep. Dave's tired too. But, he's almost done! This is the FINAL WEEKEND of his long summer of performing and I can tell he really wants a vacation. Poor schmuck. Has to be the lead in the play while we travel to Oregon and so forth.
Donovan is so excited to wear his "no homework" shirt today under his hoodie. I thought Daddy had disallowed that, but... like I said, Dave is tired.
Weston is chipper and singing this morning: outside creating a dramatic opera with toy knights in the dewy grass.
I'll need to eat soon because I have rumblings in my tumblings after my walk (post Donovan on the bus). Course, you can't really call it a walk when I take my camera; it's more like an amble. But I did see some deer! SO beautiful. I love it. There are three - can you see them? They weren't frightened of me until two patron ladies from the bed and breakfast came gabbing up the tracks behind me and the deer shot off. The women didn't even notice.
Other than that I kept snapping shots of dew glistening foliage and steamy ponds. The light was a little too sharp. As September slides in I'll have better and better sunrise light that's still low in the sky, but I'm not getting up any earlier just for that; I'll wait for the sunrise to come to me. What a selfish attitude, eh? Well, I'm in a bit of a self preservation mode with all that's required of me and I guess I'm feeling a bit protective.
Frankly, I'd love to WANT to get up earlier and spring out of bed with gusto and productivity.
(Stretch. Yawn.) Hmmm...
