We did it!

OK, it was a few days ago now, but I'm finally sharing pics from "15 Minutes of Fame" where we had our cookie stand and Donovan and Weston performed their songs.
We had worked long and hard to make Many MANY cookies and we sold most of them and are now enjoying the rest!
All of Donovan's Froot Loop chocolate chip cookies sold and he was especially delighted.
Alysa was a great help when I was quite rummy the night before and morning of. She even cleaned my kitchen! Oh we had a bit of a nightmare with the mint frosting recipe from the back of the Chippets package. Thank God she was there to keep me on task or I would have burnt two batches by neglecting them in my goo war! She also had a good sense of humor with the gloopy green. It really looked pathetic as Dave so cruelly mocked. -Remind me to never try a recipe I haven't already proven!
Thanks again to Janice Lassen who lent me her mixer and freezer space.
The concert day was nice, but super windy at times.
Donovan did a great job lead singing the Pokemon theme song and Weston was so cute as little Pikachu. (I don't have a still of that yet, but I have it on video.)
Then the Rosebud kids sang "I am Cow" and Weston was one of the grazers down in front.
I really enjoyed how our whole family took ownership in our cookie stand. Donovan was a great salesman and Weston was a good sampler and had some design ideas. Dave was a great helper and could sweet talk any lady into a frosted gingersnap!
I enjoyed the variety we made. It kept it new for me in the baking process and I also enjoyed hearing how much people liked the cookies! I think the peanutbutter cup choc. chip peanutbutter cookies were the big hit!
We learned a lot, we followed through, and we started a reputation for ourselves should we ever want to do it again.
That's business.
Oh yeah... and our profits help pay off our Master Card bill from the Snider Vacation Fund!
