Christmas Week, part three

Christmas Eve we experienced a great feast at Kevin and Michelle's with Gramps and Grams and Molly too. Poor Molly doesn't have the spunk she used to, at least not for long periods of time, and the boys were not so afraid of her as before.
Looking back, I have memories of a warm home with coloured lights and nightlights in every corner and lots of holiday touches. Kevin and Michelle's craftsman inspired home is so lovely with the touches of wood and warmth.
I liked that all of us just lived in the same house over Christmas. We really had nowhere to go and the fog held us in its hug the entire time. It was good to take Molly for a couple walks, but the poor soul got too cold the second time and Dave had to carry her part way home. The boys were in and out good spirits. Now that we're back I see the entire trip was a big deal for all of us. They were trying to find their place here, just like in all the other gatherings and houses we stayed at.
It was nice to see all the Snider/Ekersons take a break from busy purpose to just be. And of course the food was delicious which helped the indulgent lounging feelings I enjoyed.
Kevin and Michelle gave us this mind game where you move the ball with your brain waves. I love this picture of Donovan: looking up from his intense concentration and the ball hovering in mid air!
It was good to connect in the flesh.
They had a hot tub, a television, lots of food and goodies and nothing that HAD to be done. That's a relaxing Christmas.
